NOVAtherm keeps performing over time, even in harsh environmental conditions. NOVAtherm is the only insulation to carry a 50-year performance guarantee. As long as the insulation was installed correctly, and remains adequately protected, it is guaranteed to perform as well as when new, at any stage up to the full 50 years. (The guarantee ends after this time, but the NOVAtherm will keep on performing.)

Insulation in blanket form achieves a higher construction rating (showing performance when installed) than insulation that comes in pieces, even when the product R rating (showing performance in the lab) is exactly the same. That’s because the blanket has far fewer gaps for warm air to escape.
Think of sleeping under a single blanket: you will be far warmer than using many tiny blankets, even if those tiny blankets are just as thick.

healthy and safe
There are NO glues used in making any NOVAtherm or NOVAhush products, whereas some other forms of insulation are bonded with glues. Glues are known to break down over time, releasing a chemical called formaldehyde, which causes health concerns.
Polyester has no negative effect on health. Heat-bonded polyester does not release fibres into the air. This is one reason why NOVAtherm is used in many hospitals and buildings with air-conditioning systems.
NOVAtherm is fire-resistant. It self extinguishes and will not carry flame.

easy to install
Because NOVAtherm comes in a roll, it is easy and very fast to install. It is simply laid over ceiling framing, or fastened on to wall framing. To fit a specific area, NOVAtherm can simply be torn – scissors and knives are not needed. NOVAtherm causes no itching or skin irritation. |

NOVAtherm is made of a unique mix of premium quality polyester fibres - most New Zealanders sleep with a polyester pillow.
One of the polyester fibre types in NOVAtherm and NOVAhush is hollow conjugate fibre. Because the fibre is hollow it traps air within itself, as well as around it. ‘Conjugate’ means two types of polyester are joined together to form the fibre. This creates a fibre that looks and acts like a spring and gives NOVAtherm its unique thickness and bounce.
Hollow conjugate fibre technology was initially used in quality sleeping bags and extreme clothing. NOVAtherm led the way globally in introducing these fibres to ceiling and wall insulation.
